People tend to think of screens as being
something firm and stiff, not flacid or limp, let alone bendy or
flexible. But immature virility jokes aside, companies like Sony and
Samsung are putting their money into flexible OLED flexiscreens
which will probably be the future of media viewing as we know it.
At least until the age of the hologram cinema.
OLED (short for Organic Light-Emitting Diode)technology means all kinds of things. We could be seeing video screens on clothing, pocket movie players or computer screens that you can fold
up and slide into your wallet.
Samsung are also working on flexiscreens wafer thin and designed to have bendable and flappable displays and you can get a brief
taste in this video.
